SEM Scholarship Program
The Single Employer Model (SEM) is a joint initiative between the Commonwealth and State Governments to pilot an employment model where general practitioner (GP) registrars have the option to be employed by the Tasmanian Heath Service (THS) while undertaking their general practice training. Commonwealth funding to support this pilot is provided to Tasmania through the Primary Care Initiative.
As part of the Primary Care Initiative, Tasmania has also received funding to support increased supervision capacity in general practice. The SEM Supervision Scholarship Program aims to support GPs to boost their medical education, leadership and/or supervision skills, and to facilitate the presentation of medical education research at relevant Australian conferences.
This scholarship will be administered through The People Project Tasmania.
