Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a rewarding role in primary health care within a supportive and well-established practice? Lenah Valley Medical Centre is seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its small and friendly nursing team on a part-time basis. School hours will be considered for the right candidate, making this an excellent opportunity to achieve a healthy work-life balance while contributing to high-quality patient care. Whether you are an experienced General Practice Nurse or looking to transition into primary care, training and support can be provided for the right applicant.

The Position:

As a Registered Nurse at Lenah Valley Medical Centre, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across a broad range of clinical services. Working closely with the practice’s GPs and healthcare team, you will help support positive health outcomes for patients of all ages.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Childhood immunisations and catch-up vaccination schedules
  • Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination programs
  • Assisting with minor surgical procedures
  • Triage and patient management
  • Wound care and management
  • Iron infusions
  • ECGs and ABI testing
  • Ear syringing
  • Care plans and health assessments
  • Infection control and sterilisation
  • Results management and recalls
  • Cold chain management
  • Stock control and treatment room maintenance

 The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • A caring, compassionate and collaborative approach to patient care
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to improving patient outcomes
  • Flexibility to assist with annual leave and sick leave coverage when required

 Desirable skills and experience include:

  • Previous General Practice Nursing experience
  • Three or more years of nursing experience
  • Experience using Best Practice software
  • Knowledge of Chronic Disease Management Plans
