Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a rewarding role in primary health care within a supportive and well-established practice? Lenah Valley Medical Centre is seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its small and friendly nursing team on a part-time basis. School hours will be considered for the right candidate, making this an excellent opportunity to achieve a healthy work-life balance while contributing to high-quality patient care. Whether you are an experienced General Practice Nurse or looking to transition into primary care, training and support can be provided for the right applicant.
The Position:
As a Registered Nurse at Lenah Valley Medical Centre, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across a broad range of clinical services. Working closely with the practice’s GPs and healthcare team, you will help support positive health outcomes for patients of all ages.
Key responsibilities include:
- Childhood immunisations and catch-up vaccination schedules
- Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination programs
- Assisting with minor surgical procedures
- Triage and patient management
- Wound care and management
- Iron infusions
- ECGs and ABI testing
- Ear syringing
- Care plans and health assessments
- Infection control and sterilisation
- Results management and recalls
- Cold chain management
- Stock control and treatment room maintenance
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- A caring, compassionate and collaborative approach to patient care
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to improving patient outcomes
- Flexibility to assist with annual leave and sick leave coverage when required
Desirable skills and experience include:
- Previous General Practice Nursing experience
- Three or more years of nursing experience
- Experience using Best Practice software
- Knowledge of Chronic Disease Management Plans
