Physiotherapist – Musculoskeletal (new graduate) – In-Balance, Launceston

Physiotherapy Full time, Permanent Launceston & North Date advertised: 12 June 2026

In-Balance is a multidisciplinary allied health team in Launceston, Tasmania, with a strong reputation among GPs and specialists for delivering tailored, evidence-based care. They are growing — with a second clinic opening in 2026 — creating real opportunities for career development across two sites

In-Balance is looking for a new graduate physiotherapist who:

Has a genuine interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and is excited to build a rewarding career in private practice. Is keen to develop strong skills in hands-on treatment and confidently integrate them with exercise-based rehabilitation. Is motivated to grow into a full caseload of 40+ appointments per week with the support of an experienced team. Takes ownership of patient outcomes, rebooking, communication and the overall patient experience. Enjoys working collaboratively, values continuous learning, and contributes positively to team culture.

If that sounds like you, they would love to meet you.

The Opportunity

Launch your career alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, with structured mentorship, a varied caseload, and a genuine investment in your development from day one.

Your week will include:
  • A caseload of acute and persistent musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and sports-related injuries
  • A mix of 1:1 consultations and opportunities for small group rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and Pilates classes
  • A confident mix of hands-on treatment and exercise-based rehab — they value clinicians who do both well
  • Using the VALD system (force plates and dynamometer) for evidence-based assessment
  • Access to vestibular and neurological rehabilitation exposure alongside your MSK focus
  • Large treatment rooms, well-equipped gym and Pilates rehabilitation studio
Your team includes:
  • Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Therapy Assistants, Massage Therapist, Hand Therapist and Mental Health Professional
What you’ll bring:
  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy (new graduates and soon-to-be graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Full AHPRA registration (or eligibility)
  • Confident in hands-on treatment and integrating it effectively with exercise-based rehab
  • Commitment to patient ownership — outcomes, communication and continuity of care
  • Working with Vulnerable People Check and driver’s licence
  • Curiosity, openness to feedback, and a genuine commitment to lifelong learning

What’s On Offer

  • Salary: Base salary from $73,112 per annum (HP Level 1) plus super. Performance reward structure commences after 12 months.
  • Pace & flexibility: Extended appointment times and protected note writing time for new graduates. Full-time, part-time or 9-day fortnight. Monday to Friday only. 30 min paid daily admin time
  • Structured new grad program: 2-year mentorship with dedicated clinical supervision, regular in-house PD sessions and quarterly team huddles — covering clinical skills and the skills beyond the clinic room that set great clinicians apart
  • Professional Development: $2,000 per annum PD allowance for your first two years — no strings attached — plus access to our online PD platforms
  • Perks: AI scribe software for faster note writing, free Pilates and gym access, EAP, dedicated admin team, and a close-knit team culture with regular social events
