Physiotherapist (Musculoskeletal) – In-Balance, Launceston

Physiotherapy Full time, Permanent Launceston & North Date advertised: 12 June 2026

In-Balance is a multidisciplinary allied health team in Launceston, Tasmania, with a strong reputation among GPs and specialists for delivering tailored, evidence-based care. They’re growing — with a second clinic opening in 2026 — creating real opportunities for career development across two sites.

We're looking for a physiotherapist who:

Has at least two years' experience in private practice and genuinely enjoys working with patients. Can confidently manage a full caseload of 40+ appointments per week. Delivers excellent hands-on treatment and combines it effectively with exercise-based rehabilitation. Takes ownership of patient outcomes and values continuity of care. Wants to work in a clinic focused on sustainable, high-quality practice rather than high-volume treatment.

If that sounds like you, In-Balance would love to meet you.

The Opportunity

If you value quality over quantity – time to genuinely assess, think, and treat – In-Balance is designed for you. They’ve deliberately built their practice around unhurried, meaningful consults, because that’s how great outcomes happen, and great careers are sustained.

Your week will include:
  • A varied caseload of MSK conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation and sports injuries — 45-minute initials, 30-minute follow-ups as standard.
  • A mix of 1:1 consultations and opportunities for small group rehabilitation, hydrotherapy and Pilates classes.
  • Genuine caseload ownership – build the caseload you’re passionate about.
  • A confident mix of hands-on treatment and exercise-based rehab, tailored to the individual.
  • VALD system (force plates and dynamometer) for evidence-based assessment.
  • Large treatment rooms, well-equipped gym and Pilates rehabilitation studio.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Managing a full, consistent caseload with a focus on continuity of care.
  • Taking ownership of your patients – rebooking, follow-up and communication.
  • Building strong relationships with patients and referrers over time.
  • Contributing to the team environment and leading by example.
Your team includes:
  • Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Therapy Assistants, Massage Therapist, Hand Therapist and Mental Health Professional.
What you’ll bring:
  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy with demonstrated post-graduate MSK experience.
  • Full AHPRA registration.
  • Skilled and confident in hands-on treatment, integrated effectively with exercise-based rehab.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a full caseload.
  • Commitment to patient ownership – outcomes, communication and continuity of care.
  • Working with Vulnerable People Check and driver’s licence.

What’s On Offer

  • Salary: Competitive base salary $75,000–$110,000 per annum (commensurate with experience) plus super and a performance reward structure.
  • Pace & flexibility: Consult times longer than most private practices – 45-minute initials (60 min for speciality areas), 30-minute follow-ups, 30 min paid daily admin time. Full-time, part-time or 9-day fortnight. Monday to Friday only.
  • Growth & mentoring: Real pathways into clinical leadership and senior roles as they grow across two sites. Regular peer case discussions, clinical mentoring and a breadth of MDT expertise.
  • Professional Development: $1,000 per annum PD allowance (pro rata), no strings attached, plus access to their online PD platforms and support toward your long-term career goals.
  • Relocation assistance: Not living in Tasmania? They offer a relocation bonus to eligible candidates.
  • Perks: AI scribe software for faster note writing, free Pilates and gym access, EAP, dedicated admin team, and a close-knit team culture with regular social events.
