Every day, people recovering from injury or illness need support and guidance to take important steps forward. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, the successful candidate will walk alongside clients as they navigate recovery, return to work, and reconnect with what matters most.

The Position

The Rehabilitation Consultant will play a key role in delivering client-centred rehabilitation services.

The role includes:

• Assessing clients’ rehabilitation needs following injury or illness — including physical, ergonomic, psychosocial, or functional capacity evaluations.
• Supporting clients to define meaningful recovery or employment goals, then co-designing and delivering tailored rehabilitation plans.
• Managing cases end-to-end, including coordinating with workplaces, healthcare providers or insurers, monitoring progress, adjusting plans, and supporting sustainable outcomes.
• Providing expert advice — including ergonomic, workplace-modification, functional capacity, or return-to-work support — based on clinical specialism.
• Building relationships and collaborating with multiple stakeholders including clients, treating practitioners, employers, and insurers to support recovery and reintegration outcomes.

Essential qualifications and registrations:
  • Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work
  • Registration or membership with AHPRA, ESSA, or AASW (as applicable to discipline)
  • Pass a national criminal check, prior to commencing employment
  • A current WWCC (Working with children check)
  • Full Australian working rights
  • A driver’s licence and willingness to work in different settings (workplaces, client homes, remote-onsite assessments and coordinate across stakeholders
  • A collaborative, problem-solving mindset with professionalism and integrity
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, adaptability, and a client-centred approach across diverse client needs
