MSK Physiotherapist – In-Balance, Launceston

Allied Health Full time, Permanent, Part time Launceston & North Date advertised: 7 October 2026

Feeling rushed with 30-minute initial appointments? Tired of 20-minute follow-ups, notes after hours and a diary you don't control? At In-Balance they've deliberately built their practice around unhurried, meaningful consults, because that's how great outcomes happen and great careers last.

The Position:

In-Balance is looking for a dedicated MSK physiotherapist to join their amazing team.

Would you be a good fit?

Are you:

  • A physiotherapist with at least 2 years’ experience in private practice who genuinely enjoys working with patients every day?
  • Comfortable with a full caseload of around 40 appointments a week, in a clinic set up to keep that sustainable?
  • Confident combining hands-on treatment with exercise-based rehab?
  • Someone who takes ownership of your patients, including their outcomes, rebooking and continuity of care?

If that sounds like you, In-Balance would love to meet you.

The Opportunity

Your week will include:

  • A varied caseload of MSK conditions, post-surgical rehab and sports injuries, with 45-minute initials (60 minutes for specialty areas) and 30-minute follow-ups as standard
  • 1:1 consults, plus opportunities for small-group rehab, hydrotherapy and Pilates classes
  • Genuine caseload ownership, so you can build the caseload you’re passionate about
  • VALD force plates and dynamometry for evidence-based assessment
  • Two clinics: the heritage-listed Charles Street clinic, and a new Watchorn Street clinic in South Launceston, which has one of the longest ceiling track hoists of any private practice in northern Tasmania

You’ll build strong relationships with patients and referrers over time, and help shape a supportive, collaborative team culture. Your team includes physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, therapy assistants, massage therapists, a hand therapist and a mental health professional.

What you’ll bring
  • A physiotherapy degree and post-graduate MSK experience
  • Full AHPRA registration
  • A demonstrated ability to build and maintain a full caseload
  • Working with Vulnerable People registration and a driver’s licence

The Organisation:

In-Balance is a multidisciplinary allied health team in Launceston, Tasmania, with a strong reputation among GPs and specialists for tailored, evidence-based care. With their second clinic now open at Watchorn Street, there are real opportunities to develop your career across two sites.

What’s on Offer:

  • Salary: $73,000–$110,000 base, depending on experience, plus super and a quarterly bonus for meeting and exceeding targets.
  • A sustainable pace: 30-minute follow-ups and 30 minutes of paid admin time every day, so a full diary doesn’t mean a frantic one. Full-time, part-time or a 9-day fortnight, Monday to Friday only.
  • Facilities that make rehab rewarding: bright treatment rooms with plenty of natural light, a fully equipped clinical Pilates studio, a reformer Pilates classroom, strength and conditioning equipment, and a well-equipped gym at their Watchorn Street clinic. You’ll get to guide patients through rehab that’s genuinely engaging and rewarding, well beyond theraband and sit-to-stands.
  • Growth and mentoring: real pathways into senior and clinical leadership roles as they grow across two sites. They’ll walk you through them at interview. You’ll also get regular peer case discussions, clinical mentoring and a wide range of multidisciplinary expertise.
  • Professional development: a $1,000 PD allowance each year (pro rata) with no strings attached, plus access to our online PD platforms.
  • Relocation: over half of their therapists have moved from interstate and settled in Tasmania. They offer a relocation bonus to eligible candidates.
  • Perks: AI scribe software, free Pilates and gym access, an EAP, 20 days’ paid annual leave (pro rata), a dedicated admin team, and a close-knit team with regular social events.
