GP – Launceston Medicare Urgent Care Clinic

The Launceston Medicare Urgent Care is run by the Launceston Medical Centre with funding from The Australian Government.

The Medicare Urgent Care Clinic provides care for people with urgent, but non-life-threatening, medical needs who can’t wait to see their regular GP, but don’t need to go to the Emergency Department (ED).

Operational 7 days a week, from 7am to 9pm. Currently, the practice have significant availability through July, August and September. Sessions vary across the day, with shift availability between 4 – 9 hour shifts.

The practice software is Best Practice. You will be supported by a minimum of 2 nurses and 1 admin at all times.

Flights, accommodation, car hire/milage can be discussed on a case by case basis.
