Dietetic services are delivered across six clinics and supported by a strong multidisciplinary team spanning Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Podiatry. Leap Health is seeking a motivated Dietitian to join their team in southern Tasmania. The role offers a diverse caseload across multiple clinic locations, with the flexibility to structure working hours to suit the practitioner. You’ll provide high quality, evidence based nutritional care while contributing to a multidisciplinary environment. The position also includes opportunities to take on leadership responsibilities and support clinical excellence across the service.
The Position
The role will include:
- Provision of all aspects of dietetic care including and the use of evidenced-based practice to support clients with a range of nutrition issues that may include basic sports nutrition and paediatrics.
- An existing caseload with the opportunity to expand.
- Flexible hours and days.
- Cross referrals and mentoring from highly experienced clinicians in the fields of Exercise Physiologists, Paediatric Physiotherapists, titled Sports Physiotherapists and Podiatrists.
- Excellent administrative and IT support.
- Financial support for ongoing professional development.
- Regular in-house seminars with all disciplines (Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Exercise Physiology and Podiatry) that include external guest presenters.
- Annual CPD allowance to spend on courses of your choosing.
Skills and experience:
- Motivation & the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, senior leaders, and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience interacting with a wide range of people
- An unwavering desire to provide the highest quality patient care.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- A tertiary qualification in Dietetics & Nutrition.
- Current Australian Practising Dietitian (APD) registration (or working towards it).
- Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to evidence-based practice.
- A current Australian driver’s licence.
- The ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience interacting with a wide range of people.
