Following the success of its established multidisciplinary service in Hobart, Optimum Health Solutions has recently opened a new location in Launceston and is now building its presence across Northern Tasmania. This unique role with Optimum Health Solutions combines clinical physiotherapy with business development, giving you the opportunity to continue doing what you love clinically while also playing a key role in establishing and growing the organisation's presence across Northern Tasmania. Based in Launceston, you'll work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary leadership team to build referral relationships, develop partnerships and help shape the future growth of the service.
The Position:
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Physiotherapist who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and being part of something that is growing.
Approximately 50% of your role will be clinical, delivering high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy to a diverse caseload. The remainder of your time will focus on business development and growing Optimum Health Solutions’ profile and referral networks across Northern Tasmania.
Your business development responsibilities will include:
- Building strong relationships with GPs, specialists, surgeons, support coordinators, employers, insurers, sporting organisations and community stakeholders.
- Developing referral pathways and identifying new business opportunities.
- Growing the Optimum Health Solutions brand throughout Northern Tasmania.
- Exploring opportunities across private practice, NDIS, occupational rehabilitation, corporate and community sectors.
- Representing the organisation at networking events, community initiatives and industry functions.
- Supporting recruitment and helping to build a high-performing multidisciplinary team as the Launceston clinic grows.
- Working closely with senior leadership to support sustainable growth and future expansion.
Clinically, you’ll continue to provide high-quality physiotherapy, contribute your clinical expertise to service development and maintain professional and regulatory standards.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced Physiotherapist who is not only an excellent clinician, but also enjoys connecting with people and building genuine professional relationships.
You’ll bring:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist.
- At least five years’ clinical experience.
- Professional maturity and demonstrated leadership within your career.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and entrepreneurial approach to identifying opportunities.
- Confidence representing an organisation within the healthcare and broader community.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
- An interest in helping establish and grow a new service in Northern Tasmania.
Previous business development, leadership or referral management experience would be highly regarded, but isn’t essential. For the right person, a strong relationship-building ability, commercial awareness and willingness to step outside traditional clinical practice are what matter most.
