Accredited by AGPAL and privately owned general practices. Medical software used is Best Practice and operates as a bulk-billing practice.
Skills and Experience Required
- Current AHPRA Specialist or General Registration
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Vocationally Registered GP
With a contemporary feel and recently renovated practices in the northern region of Tasmania, General Practitioners working in these facilities are supported on-site by an experienced Practice Manager, along with a dedicated administrative and nursing team. There is a wide range of services offered such as chronic disease management, primary health care, preventative medicine, skin cancer medicine, iron infusions, and many more.
The Position
Opportunity for VR GPs to join FirstPoint Healthcare, Beaconsfield Family Medical Practice, Legana medical Centre and Exeter Medical Centre.
An exciting opportunity currently exists at this well-established, modern practice for a General Practitioner (GP) to join a friendly team of highly experienced colleagues on a full-time basis, helping to meet the growing patient demand. The practice offers a warm, welcoming, and family-oriented environment focused on personalised patient care. A broad range of services is provided, including general health care, men’s, women’s and children’s health, immunisations, skin cancer checks and minor procedures, chronic disease management, pre-employment medicals, antenatal and postnatal care, and Indigenous health.

Competitive remuneration – 70% of billings for VR GPs and a competitive percentage for Non-VR GPs

Choice of practice location – work at either our Launceston or Beaconsfield clinics, or split your time between both

Relocation support of up to $5,000 for interstate relocation or initial accommodation

Eligible new VR GPs may receive up to $100,000 through the Tasmanian Government GP Attraction Program (subject to eligibility and program criteria)

Up to $10,000 in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) funding may be available through the People Project Health Workforce Scholarship Program for eligible doctors
