Dates from:

  • Monday 14th April - Friday 2nd May (happy to negotiate 2 or 3 weeks)
  • Monday 30th June - Friday 25th July (happy to negotiate 2, 3 or 4 weeks).
  • Monday 22nd September - Friday 17th October (happy to negotiate 2, 3 or 4 weeks).

Don Medical Clinic is located in Devonport on the NW coast of Tasmania, the food bowl area of Tasmania. Known for its wonderful produce, clean air, scenic coastline and National parks. We are an Independent, GP owned, family practice with a great support team.

We require Locum cover to assist our clinical team manage our patient base. This is to cover a permanent Principal GP so you can expect an active patient base.

Modern premises, quality equipment, great location with lots of activities for you and your family. Approximately 3-4 patients/hour. We aren't looking for someone to churn lots of patients each day, we need someone to help us manage our patient's ongoing care as well as deal with the acute on the day patients.

The practice uses Best Practice Software. Admin and Nursing support on site however some days you may be the only GP in the practice (minimal).

Must be able to perform:

  • General Medicine
  • Mental health skills Training
  • Cervical Screening
  • Immunisations when needed.

Desirables:

  • Experience with Best Practice.
  • Blood taking
  • Skin Checks; biopsies and lesion removals.

What's on offer?

    • Monday to Friday: No weekends and no afterhours
    • 8.30am to 5.30pm (consulting 9am-1pm and 2pm - 5pm)
    • Accommodation provided. Two-bedroom apartment within walking distance to the practice and shops.
    • $1200/day (ex GST)
    • 4 patients per hour
    • Independent, non-corporate full scope regional Family practice (MMM3)
    • Lots of practice support for GPs with Admin and Nursing support
    • $1,000 towards travel expenses.
    • Consider bringing your vehicle on the Ferry
