St. Giles is looking for passionate Speech Pathologists who are committed to providing life-changing support to children, adolescents, and adults across Tasmania. The Position

This role is based out of the St. Giles office in Burnie and offers the opportunity to negotiate permanent full-time or part-time hours (roles are also available in Launceston and Hobart).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Collaborate with families and other health professionals
  • Advocate for communication support for participants with communication difficulties
  • Develop mealtime management plans
  • Utilise and review evidence-based practices and service delivery methods

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in Speech Pathology and current membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Current Australian drivers licence
  • National Police check (no older than 3 months)
  • WWVP registration including NDIS worker screening check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Knowledge of NDIS participant/family centred practices is desirable
  • Willingness to travel (interstate) if required as part of the role
  • Flexibility to perform out-of-hours work when required
