The Position
This role is based out of the St. Giles office in Burnie and offers the opportunity to negotiate permanent full-time or part-time hours (roles are also available in Launceston and Hobart).
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Collaborate with families and other health professionals
- Advocate for communication support for participants with communication difficulties
- Develop mealtime management plans
- Utilise and review evidence-based practices and service delivery methods
Requirements:
- Professional qualification in Speech Pathology and current membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Current Australian drivers licence
- National Police check (no older than 3 months)
- WWVP registration including NDIS worker screening check (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of NDIS participant/family centred practices is desirable
- Willingness to travel (interstate) if required as part of the role
- Flexibility to perform out-of-hours work when required
