The Link Youth Health Service in Hobart are looking for a Clinical Lead to join their team in an organisation which has been dedicated to providing free, high-quality health services to young people for over 30 years. In this pivotal role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team, supervise the provision of clinical care, and play a key part in shaping innovative, evidence-based services for the youth of Tasmania. The Position

As a Clinical Lead, you will play a vital role in the coordination and delivery of high-quality clinical care and health services for young people. Your leadership will guide a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals and provide direct clinical support, ensuring young people receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Supervision & Coordination: Provide clinical supervision for staff, private practitioners, and students, ensuring effective training, development, and adherence to clinical standards.
  • Policy & Procedure Development: Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to develop, review, and implement clinical policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Program Leadership & Management: Lead the delivery of evidence-based clinical services, ensuring quality care across the youth health spectrum and managing clinical resources effectively.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders included in the provision of health services.
  • Continuous Improvement & Data Management: Drive continuous improvement through data collection, program development, and participation in quality initiatives.


The Link are looking for an experienced, compassionate leader with:

  • Relevant qualifications in an allied health discipline (specifically social work, psychology, mental health nursing or occupational therapy)
  • Current full registration (AASW, AHPRA etc.)
  • Current Working with Vulnerable Person registration, driver’s licence and be willing to undertake a National Police check.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively, including clinical supervision and performance management.
  • An advanced level of clinical skills in triage, assessment and referrals.
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, senior management, and community partners.

The Organisation

The Link Youth Health Service is a well-established, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing free and accessible health and wellbeing services to young people aged 12 to 25. For over 30 years, they have been providing a range of services to youth across Hobart and Southern Tasmania, including vital services in general health and wellbeing, sexual health, and substance use. Since 2012, they have also proudly operated the headspace Hobart Centre, providing critical mental health support to young people in the community.

Their vision is to see healthy and empowered young people, making decisions about their lives in a space that is safe, supportive and non-judgmental. They believe that they can achieve this by encouraging young people and their support networks to be at the centre of their own care.
